Where Adventure Meets Elegance: A Cloud Forest Wedding
Embraced by the mystical cloud forest of Costa Rica, this celebration unfolded in one of the country’s most enchanting and adventurous destinations — where nature becomes part of the experience. Known for its ever-changing climate and rainfall throughout most of the year, the possibility of rain wasn’t a concern, but rather part of the magic.
Every detail was thoughtfully planned in advance. The venue, a Michelin-recognized hotel, offered not only an extraordinary setting but also an exceptional team that ensured a seamless and elevated planning experience from beginning to end.
The day began early, with the furniture team arriving around 10:00 a.m. to begin transforming the Jaules Ballroom for the ceremony. This wedding was filled with personalized elements, each one carefully styled to reflect the couple’s vision, requiring meticulous attention throughout the setup process.
Meanwhile, preparations unfolded at the spa, surrounded by the serenity of the forest. The florist arrived around 11:30 a.m., bringing the ceremony design to life — from the floral arch to the aisle and seating. Thoughtful touches, such as umbrellas prepared at the entrance, ensured guests would remain comfortable while embracing the natural surroundings.
Guest experience was a key element of the day. Coordinated shuttle transfers were arranged from the villas to the spa, with a precise timeline to welcome everyone by 4:10 p.m. for a 4:30 p.m. ceremony. Following the vows, a celebratory toast with sparkling wine took place, accompanied by soft mountain breezes and breathtaking views.
Guests were then guided to the reception, where live violin and guitar music set the tone for an intimate and immersive evening. A beautifully curated menu and open bar complemented the atmosphere, while heartfelt speeches filled the space with emotion, reflecting the deep love shared by the couple and their guests.
The cake was a true work of art — adorned with delicate edible flowers that blended seamlessly with the natural aesthetic, almost indistinguishable from real blooms.
The celebration concluded around 9:00 p.m., allowing guests to continue enjoying the destination experience. The following morning, a shuttle was arranged for an excursion to La Paz Waterfall, one of Costa Rica’s most breathtaking natural wonders. In the days that followed, the couple and their guests explored the surrounding area, embracing the adventure of the cloud forest through nature walks and unforgettable moments immersed in the wild beauty of the region.

Better than we could have expected
We researched a couple of wedding planner and chose Adelita after our zoom call with her. She was genuine and professional. Immediately we knew we made the right choice. We put our destination wedding together in about 3 months. Adelita promptly responded to all inquiries and we were never left to wonder. She also added guidance on things we hadn't even thought about. We put our trust in her through inspiration images and she brought those to reality and kept the whole thing within our budget. At every touch point she let us know we were still within budget but also was able to provide options. We always felt she had our best interest in mind. Once the day finally came she kept everything on time and seamlessly made everything happen. We can't say enough about how happy we were with Adelita. We could not have picked a better coordinator for our vision and execution of our most important day.
